and Techniques
Character is someone who takes part in the action
of a story.
Main Character is the character that the story
is centered on and most important.
Minor characters are the less prominent
Dynamic characters are characters that change
during the story.
Static character is one who stays the same
Setting is where the story takes place, the setting
is important in some but not that important
Plot is the chain of events that goes on during
the story; it is like the blueprint that the writer uses
Exposition is when the background is set and things
like characters and settings.
Inciting incident
Rising action is something that happens during
the story that makes the characters struggle
Climax is when the intensity reaches its peak
and then usually there is an important decision that changes the outcome of the story
Falling action is when the climax is resolved
and the intensity goes away
Denoument is a French word that means untying
and is when the mysteries are resolved
